What's In A Name?

I met a girl named Journey, but she lived too far away
Opal was a gem, but she left me one fine day
Patience, she ran out on me, I never did know why
I was shocked when Raven flew off and said goodbye

Beautiful music was never made with true Harmony
I was never given any time by sweet Charity
Autumn was so beautiful, but for me she did not fall
I realized Joy was never glad to ever see me call

Temperance agreed to date only in moderation
Brandy would only see me if I offered her libation
Julienne had cut my heart into many slices
While Eden was the opposite of Earthly paradises

Serenity made her peace with ending our romance
Destiny left a reunion purely up to chance
Honor always lied to me, of this I was aware
Ivy drove me up a wall, clingy beyond compare

I really thought Eternity would stay with me forever
Faith made me believe that we would always be together
My dating life is such a mess, it really is a shame
It made me stop and start to think, what is in a name?

Eye of the Beholder

We love animals that are so cute, Like a Puppy, Cat or Bunny. But there are cool creatures we ignore Because they look quite funny. Let's take a look at some of them Cause they deserve attention. You'll find them very interesting And way beyond convention. First is the small Star Nosed Mole With a strange shape on her face. But she's fastest of hunters, No one can beat her pace! Her strange pink nose gives her an edge, Though her eyes can barely see. She can find food and eat it up Before you can count to three! She swims with water proof fur, Digging claws?  As oars they double! She can smell underwater too Through the use of bubbles! Next is a creature that you'll love, Though they look quite strange. But once you learn their special skill Your opinion will change! Aye Ayes look shocked, with big eyes, Hair looks electrified. But when in trees, looking for food, They know just what's inside! One finger, long and thin, Taps quickly on the trees. It makes bugs mov

Come Together

The little Fox looked rather bored, So Mom said, "Go and play!" She didn't like him sitting there And moping the whole day. "If you use imagination You'll find something to do. Go create your own fun game, Or build something brand new!" Mom encouraged little Kit, "Now you go outside." So little Pup left their house With a heavy sigh. He looked around maybe to find A fun activity. He promised Mom he would use His creativity. He found some twigs and some leaves- "I'll make a cool canoe! I'll be the Captain of this boat And its made up crew!" He worked hard to build the craft, And since he was the boss, He made himself a Captain's hat Out of bark and moss. He launched his ship into water, Was pleased that it did float. He sailed toward land across the lake In his little boat. But right before he did land Sharp rocks on the shore's bank Made a hole in his canoe And it quickly sank. He climbed onto the sandy beach With no trees

Large

Watching as all of the Fish swam on by, The big, lonely Whale breathed a deep sigh. In schools the Fish laughed, happy as can be, Playing and frolicking in the blue sea. Whale would usually swim all alone, By himself since he was full grown. A popular mate when he was a minor, Before he grew big as an ocean liner. He'd swim by, all would be overtaken- The turbulence he created left them quite shaken. They'd play hide and seek in an old sunken barge, But it's not much of a game when you're so large. More and more, he found he was excluded. "It's because I'm too big," he sadly concluded. "Playing with me is too much of a fuss. I guess that's what happens when you weigh more than a bus." It's not that the others disliked their old friend. They enjoyed with him the time they did spend. But as his diameter grew to be vast, They became small and frail in direct contrast. Their favorite games would have to be changed, And preferred activit
